About Instructors

Kathy Williams is a dynamic speaker and classically trained yoga therapist who has given classes and workshops all over the country, bringing audiences a body of teaching formulated from studies in the U.S., India, and Europe.

Kathy specializes in addressing health conditions and chronic pain through movement, breath, meditation, sound and Ayurveda. She teaches for Kaiser on Maui  and maintains an active practice of private clients and coaching via phone and Skype. Additionally she has been faculty on numerous prenatal yoga trainings and yoga teacher trainings, and including the YogaAway program for Hyatt Hotels.
Kathy began teaching yoga in 2000, after studying with Robert Boustany, founder of Pralaya Yoga.  She was a professional ballerina and taught at the ballet school and privately while dancing. In 2001 she was introduced to Viniyoga, and was later certified as a Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist by Gary Kraftsow.  Gary, the founder of the American Viniyoga Institute, created the yoga sequences used in the 2005 NIH Study on yoga and back pain and the study on yoga's effects on stress reduction with the Aetna Insurance Company. Kathy continues to assist Mr. Kraftsow at conferences.
Kathy is also certified as an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist through Kripalu in Lenox, MA. She continues to study meditation and yoga in India, where she began studying with Sri. Karunamayi in 2003.


Deborah Scarborough

Deborah Scarborough became a certified 500hr Viniyoga instructor
in 2006 and then continued her course of study to become a certified
Yoga Therapist in 2008. Deborah is also a Reiki practitioner and infuses
energy work in her yoga sessions. A former resident of Lanai, Hawaii,
Deborah opened a yoga space where she taught classes, private yoga
therapy sessions, and workshops focusing on women’s health. She also
taught at the senior center specializing in developing practices to meet
senior’s diverse needs. Deborah’s passion is to enliven and empower
students and clients to achieve their best place of self care.
